Telltale shows no meetings

Telltale scores calendar events that have at least one other attendee. Check that Calendar access is on (Telltale’s Settings, Permissions), that your work calendar is on your iPhone (iOS Settings, Apps, Calendar, Calendar Accounts), and which calendars count (Telltale’s Settings, Calendars).

There is no heart-rate data

Wear your Apple Watch through your meetings; it records heart rate every few minutes. iOS never tells apps what you chose for Health access, so check it in the Health app: your profile, Apps, Telltale.

Is stress only measured from heart rate?

Heart rate is the core, because your watch measures it all day: Telltale compares your heart rate in each meeting with your own baseline from the 90 minutes on either side, and tracks the rise in the 15 minutes before and how long you take to settle after. Your steps mark the minutes you spent walking, and those are left out of the comparison. Overnight HRV, resting heart rate and sleep show how ready your body is. In the app, tap the info button on the stress card to see every signal beside your own numbers.

Apple Intelligence says it is getting ready

iOS downloads its on-device model in the background, over Wi-Fi and usually while charging. Its progress is in iOS Settings, Apple Intelligence & Siri. Telltale’s own engine answers meanwhile and switches over by itself when the model is ready.

How do I hide or exclude a meeting, a person or a place?

Swipe left on a meeting or a person on the home screen (or press and hold), or in the Meetings and People lists: exclude a meeting or every meeting with its title, or hide a meeting or a person. To leave out every meeting at a place, swipe it on the home screen’s Places card or open the place and tap Leave out. Restore anything in Settings, Hidden and excluded.

What is the Pulse Score?

One number for how your meetings sit with your heart, over the window you chose. It starts at 100, loses 5 points for every bpm your meetings run above your own baseline on average (at most 80), and up to 20 more for your hottest meeting: a point for each bpm it ran above +8. 90 and up is an A+ (Unflappable), 80 an A (Calm), 65 a B (Steady), 50 a C (Under pressure), 35 a D (Running hot), and below that an F (Overheating). Tap the info button beside the score to see the sum with your own numbers, or ask Telltale “How is my Pulse Score calculated?”.

Can Telltale warn me before a stressful meeting?

Yes. In Telltale’s Settings, open Meeting alerts and add one: for any meeting, for meetings with certain people, at certain places, or for meetings with a certain title. Slide to the stress level it should wait for, from Any to Severe storm, and choose how early to hear, from five minutes to the day before. Your Apple Watch shows the alerts while your iPhone is locked.

Can I share a meeting or a colleague?

Yes. Open the meeting or the person and tap the share button at the top. The card shows initials instead of names unless you turn that off, and a meeting card can leave out its title and place. People you hid never appear.

Can I choose what the home screen shows?

Yes. Tap Customize home screen at the bottom of the home screen, or open Telltale’s Settings and tap Home screen under Appearance. Turn off the cards you do not need and drag the rest into any order; your briefing and Pulse Score always stay at the top. With iCloud sync on, a new iPhone opens on the same home screen.

Can I change how the Pulse Score looks?

Yes. Open Telltale’s Settings and tap Score style under Appearance. Choose a ring, a square, an arc or just the number, and a color set: Heat follows your score from mint to coral, while Violet, Ocean, Ember and Silver keep one color. The style shows on the home screen, the share card and your Apple Watch.

Do I need an Apple Watch?

To analyze your own meetings, yes: Telltale compares the heart rate your Apple Watch records during each meeting with your own baseline. Without one, tap Explore with demo data to see everything it does with a month of sample meetings.

Can I use Telltale in light mode?

Yes. Telltale is dark unless you choose otherwise: pick Light, or Match iPhone, in Telltale’s Settings under Appearance.

How do I see the tour again?

In Telltale’s Settings, tap Take the tour.

Does Telltale send my data anywhere?

No. Your health and calendar data are analyzed on your iPhone, and on your watch when the iPhone is out of reach, and stay on your devices. Only Telltale’s own settings and your hidden and excluded lists (names, meeting titles and times, and places) sync, through your own iCloud, and you can turn that off. Details are in the privacy policy.

How do I delete my data?

Turn off iCloud sync in Telltale’s Settings on each iPhone to remove its iCloud copy, then delete the app; its watch app goes with it. Your Health and Calendar data stay in those apps.

Is Telltale a medical device?

No. Telltale shows patterns in your own data, never diagnoses. Talk to a doctor about any health concern.
